How to watch Youtube official music videos on Iphone?

Ans: Use QR code.

I use to create a QR code for the link of the youtube video.

And I used this “QR Reader for iPhone

I tried with 2 videos I wanted to watch on iphone, but only one worked. The other just says “The content owner has not made this video available on mobile. Add to playlist to watch it later on a PC.” I really didnt know the artist was so free to change these settings.

I thought we were the victims of a political enstrangle between  Apple and Google, but downloading the YouTube app did not solve this problem.

I can’t watch this: . Jason Mraz – I Won’t Give Up [Official Music Video]

But I can watch this: . Colbie Caillat – I Never Told You

Bu well, at least we got one of the videos.

Sync and transfer photos from iPhone to Mac

Use “Image Capture” software! It’s already on your Mac, you do not need to download it!

One of the things I’ve always been sore about is how do I easily transfer my photos from iPhone to the mac? iTunes don’t help a lot and iPhoto is pretty much handicapped. When I was using a PC, the photos open in a window in an instant after an external drive is connected, be it a thumbdrive, harddrive, camera you name it. So how do I make photos from iPhone appear in a window on my Mac?!?! Just pure raw files. I do not want them to appear in iPhoto or iTunes software, just the raw files only. I have been using Dropbox or email to transfer my photos and was even contemplating on buying the app “PhotoToMac”. There is a PhotoToMac Free version which will shrink your photos into a smaller resolution.

Then I found this video. Can’t paste it here cos its not a google or youtube file. But do checkout the link…

The Basic Steps are:
1. Connect your iPhone to Mac via a USB cable.
2. Launch the “Image Capture” software on your Mac. Use Spotlight at top right corner to find it.
3. A window will appear that names your iPhone according to its released version (eg iPhone 3GS… iPhone 3G…)
4. Play with the settings.
Notes: ‘Download To’ option is used for specifying the folder in which you want the downloaded files.
Notes: ‘Automatic Task’ specifies the task which the application must do after the transfer of files is over.
5. Click on either ‘Download Some’ or ‘Download all’ option.
Notes: ‘Download Some’ allows you to pick and choose the photos you want to download.
Notes: ‘Download all’ downloads all your photos from iPhone to Mac.
6. After the download is over, the destination folder will open and you can find your file in it.

Auto-scroll messages up on iPhone to call

My greatest discovery of the day. All credit to my newest and youngest VA based in sg.

“how do u make messages scroll all the way up iphone”

You know how when someone messages u and then you needa call the person back. And theres a call button right at the very top of the msg, but it would be a very long scroll up, unless you knew him for like 2 seconds and had like the shortest conversation with him.

Now i find out its to put your finger at the very top of the screen where it displays the time and battery status and your service provider. Better to tap on the time, because if you tap on battery status, it will ask u to delete messages, and if you tap on service provider, it will bring you back to Messages.

How to consolidate tracks (audio) on iTunes?

Join Together is a free Mac application that join audio tracks (any) in your iTunes using Quicktime.

Just highlight the tracks you want to be consolidated in iTunes, in order. Launch “Join Together” application. Click on “Get tracks from itunes” on the app, and your itunes tracks will automatically be imported into “Join Together”. After it is consolidated into 1 track, it is auto imported back in to iTunes. Your old dispersed tracks will still be there though, you would have to search for them in iTunes and delete them.

Thank you Doug Scripts.

How to Make Calls with your 3G network? (Singapore Only)

Downloaded skype but have to depend on WIFI to make calls? Or cursing the moment the sales rep told you ‘yesss you can make skype calls over 3g’. Then you’re thinking why am I paying so much for data?

Fret not. Try “Hoiio”. At one look, it looks like “Ho-lio”, but I think the name actually derived from the hokkien greeting, “Hoi !”

To cut to the chase, here are the benefits of using Hoiio: Continue reading

Few things I wish iPhone have now (despite my 99% satisfaction in it already)

– Have incoming call usage tracking for M1 Singapore users
– Able to organise the icons other than the grid layout it is in (i know can change background pics with jailbroken apps)
– Sync to mac remotely.
– I wish have an app already!!

.com button/keys on the keyboard like that of an iphone

i wish we have a “.com” button on the mac keyboard. Funny how Apple thought of it for the iPhone but not the keyboard. There are 2 Command keys on the keyboard, one on the left, one on the right, why not take one out and replace it with “.com”!
