Download “Switch” ebook by Heath, Chip and Dan worldwide, no devices needed. Finally!

A few days ago, I voiced a thought that Singapore, being such a prosperous and safe city, should have faster access to new releases in United States.

Called the local Borders and was told to wait 4-6 weeks with a deposit and that it was a 3 day old new release. I went to Kindle, fantasized about having the whole book wirelessly delivered to my iphone’s kindle app, checked in hope that Kindle had finally come to Singapore, then cursed at the message “Kindle and its contents are not available to your country.” Googled “switch heath download”, no free downloads, and didn’t particularly feel like downloading from barnes&noble (sorry! nothing against you guys!) I don’t know, maybe you guys are like amazon..? Felt the need to revolutionize Singapore’s access to these “overseas imports” but stopped and thought, maybe someone had done it before. Aha! True enough, found it at OpenTrolley.com.sg. Bought a book, told to wait 4-7 working days. I don’t know about you.. I still like to feel a book in my hands. The smell of different recycled paper. The cackle at every page. And the sticky notes of very phrases that made an imaginary light bulb appear over your head. Of course, sticky notes sold separately. But irony being, I couldn’t stop reading the broken excerpt on Amazon. Even if 19 pages were skipped, it still made sense….

Anyway to cut the long story short, I found another great website www.ebooks.com that does the new releases on digital, and sends in all formats. I found “Switch” on it and was very happy. 🙂
