How to block a call on Nokia E65 (tmobile will not block calls for prepaid users)

I had to block a call that has a caller id on my Nokia E65. Tmobile wouldn’t do it for Prepaid users so I realised I cannot let another week pass without getting a call from 1800-575-0579.

How to block caller ids on Nokia E65
– Add it to your phonebook named “nuisance call”.
– Go to contacts, create a new group named “nuisance group”.
– Select “nuisance call” in your phonebook, (do not hit “enter”) hit “options”, press “add to groups” and add it to “nuisance group”
– Go to Menu>Tools>Profiles. “Personalise” all your profiles so that they will never ever have “Alert for” “nuisance group”.

That *** had been calling me every morning between 10-11am like clockwork for a week. At first I thought it was admirable persistence, then I began to see a never-ending routine to this one. During the weekend, I gave a call back on this number and received a recorded message that went something like, “This is an automated system, we give automated calls to people that had received or will receive free stuff. If you want to stop the calls, please leave your name and number and we will strike off your name within 24 business hours.” And then the line was cut off…

but it does not restrict the call… hw to do dat?

  2. it wont prevent the incoming calls from that id but at least u wont hear about it. a call that doesn’t alert you on your cell is as good as no calls.

the good thing is automated call systems do not leave voicemails because they are set for a certain number of rings only, not enough to reach your voicemail system. If your stalker is a real person and leave you voicemails, you have to think of other ways or change your phone number.

    good luck.
