RoadTrip Nation coming to UB

There is this workshop that I might be interested in checking out. Not for the activity but for the culture of it.

Road Trip Nation
April 3, 2008
Visit the Road Trip Nation RV from 10 am to 4 pm, Outside the Student Union near the Commons
Documentary Screening, 5 pm, 112 Norton (Woldman Theater)

It all started with four friends and one dilemma: “What do I want to do with my life?” Fresh out of college and unsure about the career paths in front of them, they were determined to expose themselves to more than just the traditional life roads. They hopped in an old RV, painted it green, and hit the road to talk with inspiring people from all walks of life to find out how they came to do what they love for a living.

Today, Roadtrip Nation has evolved into a PBS series, three books, an online community, and a student movement. Road Trip Nation sends students on the road to explore the world outside their comfort zone and talk with individuals who chose to define their own road in life. Want to launch your own road trip? Stop by the RV to learn how! Or hit the road in New Zealand this summer! Roadtrip Nation is partnering up with Tourism New Zealand, and will be sending teams of two to three people down to the youngest island in late summer of 2008.
