The day I heard they give coins back for recycling bottles I let no empty bottle go to waste bin. Just like in SG, where I let no tiniest piece of paper goes to the bin, I have a special bin for both paper and now, bottles—cans, plastic, glass all kinds.
First stop: Bottle Return center near Tops. They have these machines at Wegmans too.
First step in, it smells like what a rubbish dump should smell like-no surprises there.
However, the machines started spewing out a lot of my bottles! Almost 75% of it! I went to the counter and asked for an explanation. Hm, it seems like the machine only accept some bottles with a label on it–American 5% something. Can’t remember.
